Shelter Add‑Ons

Port‑A‑Hut offers practical add‑ons to help you customize each shelter to your operation. Shelter pens are designed to fit over the Small and Medium shelters, creating secure spaces for managing livestock. These heavy‑duty pens can be used individually or linked together in a row, making feeding and watering more efficient.

Ideal for bottle calves, sows, sheep, or goats, the pens help separate mothers during birthing and keep young animals close so they don’t intermingle. Each pen features gates made from 1‑1/4″ O.D. high‑quality round steel tubing, and the over‑the‑hut panels for the Small shelter measure 6′ long by 39″ high.

In addition, optional doors are available for all shelter sizes, offering greater protection from the elements and improved control over airflow and access.

Made from heavy galvanized steel with all‑steel construction, these USA‑made shelters are extremely rugged, maintenance‑free, and fully assembled for easy placement. Each small shelter features a permanently attached rear enclosure with an adjustable top vent and comes in two lengths: 3’9″ or 7′.
These shelters work exceptionally well for feeder pigs, goats, sheep, calves, chickens, and other small livestock, and they remain the go‑to choice for pasture farrowing and free‑range operations. They’re highly portable—light enough to move by one person—yet strong enough to stand up to real farm use.
Pair your shelter with the Over‑the‑Hut Pen for added convenience. Designed specifically for the Small model, these 6′ heavy‑duty panels rival standard cattle‑panel weight and include a walk‑in gate for easy feeding and chores. The pen can be used on a single hut or connected across multiple shelters to streamline feeding and watering. Built from heavy galvanized corrugated steel with a strong angle‑iron frame, these USA‑made shelters are designed to stand the test of time with minimal maintenance.

Crafted in 7‑foot length increments to suit your needs, a common size is 14′ wide × 8′ high × 21′ long, offering exceptional headroom with over 7'4" of interior clearance under the cross brace. Each unit includes a permanently attached back with an adjustable vent door. Some assembly is required and all shelters must be anchored once positioned, however, the finished structure provides outstanding durability for long‑term farm use.
